Business needs to keep up with the latest technology in all formats, connect your business to one of the UK’s most advanced digital networks and transform the way you work online. It is a must if you don’t want to be left behind.
Our team received the award for most business grade city fibre connections in 2020 – and we are delighted to have achieved this and be part of levelling the playing field and introducing competition to the market.
This has brought about two things:
1 – improved delivery of service access to the fibre network providers
2 – improved pricing – a 1GB service is now less than a third of what it cost 5 years ago!
So, what does this mean for businesses?
Well, data usage is doubling every 12 months. That means every application, device, and user in your team is twice as more dependent on their broadband staying connected as every year goes by.
Does this mean we settle for lowest cost or look to invest where it counts?
These are your options….
ADSL (Digital Subscriber Line) – This is a cheap, quick install option, but very much a legacy service and not recommended – ever. It is painfully slow with max download speeds of 20Mbps. If you have ADSL – change it now!
FTTC (Fibre-to-the-cabinet) – It is a step up from ADSL! Data runs through fibre and then copper into your building; therefore, speeds can be inconsistent. However, it has affordable setup costs, low monthly rental fee, low/no maintenance costs, no additional costs based on usage.
FTTP (Fibre-to-the-premises) – This brings fibre directly to your building. No copper means data does not slow down and will run at gigabit speeds – ideal for remote backups, data heavy cloud services and VoIP. If you want your business to not be strangled and lose operational time – this is the one!
